Now that the kids are finally back at school, some parents might be feeling like shadows of their former selves, even though they have already reached the light at the end of the tunnel. We get it—finding the perfect spot to unwind is essential (whether it's kid-driven or otherwise). Luckily, there are some great saunas and steam rooms in Lisbon and one in Cascais where non-guests can treat themselves.

Here are our top recommendations:

Sayanna Wellness

  • 30-45€
  • Open daily, 9h-22h
  • Cais das Naus, Lote 2.21.01, Parque das Nações, 1990-173 Lisboa
  • +351 211 107 690 | sanahotels.com

Grab a couple of friends (or go solo if that’s more your vibe) and pay 30€ each when you book as a group or 45€ for a full-day pass by yourself. You’ll have access to the swimming pool and steam rooms. Or, if you book a treatment of 60 minutes or more, you get it all for free! Honestly, it’s a sweet deal for a whole day of relaxation.

Spa at the Grande Real Villa Itália Hotel

  • 30€
  • Open daily, 8h-20h
  • Rua Frei Nicolau de Oliveira, 100, 2750-319 Cascais
  • +351 210 966 010 / 966 001 | hoteisreal.com

This Roman bath-inspired spa in Cascais is a dream. For 30€, you can enjoy their “Thalasso Circuit” – plenty of ways to sweat out your stress and cool off afterward. It’s relaxing and totally worth the drive. Just make sure to call ahead for a reservation.

The ReTreat at Inspira Santa Marta Hotel

  • 45€+
  • Open daily, 10h-20h
  • Rua de Santa Marta 48, 1150-297 Lisboa
  • +351 210 440 907 Ext.7 | ritualspa.pt

Heads up, the jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room are now only available if you book a treatment. The cheapest option is a 25-minute “Massagen Localizada” for 45€. Not bad, but check their full price list if you’re in the mood for something longer.

BSpa at Altis Belém

  • 55€+
  • Monday-Friday, 9h-21h; Weekends, 9h-20h
  • Doca do Bom Sucesso, 1400-038 Lisboa
  • +351 210 400 220/ 222 | altishotels.com

This one’s a bit pricey, but trust me, it’s heaven on earth. Everyone I know who’s been there comes back raving about it. Unless you’re staying at the hotel, you’ll need to book a treatment to get in, but they’ve got some decent options that won’t completely break the bank. Three friends of mine swear by their 30-minute “B Alive” treatment.

Spa at Iberostar Lisboa

  • 61€+
  • Open daily, 10h-18h
  • Rua Castilho, 64, 1250-071 Lisboa
  • +351 21 5859000 | iberostar.com

This used to be one of the more affordable options, but those days are long gone. Now, to get access to the pool, steam room, and sauna, you have to book a treatment, with the cheapest starting at 61€. Still, it’s a five-star experience, and sometimes you just have to treat yourself.

So, if you’re looking to escape for a few hours and unwind, these spots have you covered. Just remember to call ahead and book those treatments!
